About Barkat

Ulrik is a mathematician working at the interface between probability theory and mathematical physics, in particular on percolation-type models. He is particularly interested in the myriad connections between various a priori distinct models of statistical mechanics. He is currently a post-doc in the group of Alexander Glazman at KIT. Previously, he was a post-doc in Innsbruck and even before in QMATH and the section of Analysis & Quantum at the University of Copenhagen. He wrote my PhD thesis under the supervision of Ioan Manolescu at the University of Fribourg between November of 2019 and February of 2024.
